Our Story
Thank you for wanting to know more about our story. I’m Katy, a mom, an entrepreneur, a certified aromatherapist, trained natural perfumer, working in the healthcare industry and I am the co-founder of Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité®. In 2021, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I launched with my son, Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité®, a small family wellness brand based in Burlington, Massachusetts that offers natural high-quality Aromatherapy products to inspire a scented lifestyle that nurtures wellness and growth.
As a busy mom running a small enterprise and managing household chores, I often felt overwhelmed. I searched for a solution to de-stress and found unexpected relief at a local gym. As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by a gentle, sweet ocean scent that immediately relaxed me and transported me back to my childhood memories of Jacmel, a coastal town in my home country, Haiti where I used to vacation with my family. I was surprised that a scent could be so powerful, and thus, my journey in aromatherapy began.
I wanted to replicate this state of relaxation at home. I was pleasantly surprised that the diffused essential oil scents created a calm ambiance and helped me engage more meaningfully in self-reflection and my everyday activities. Essence et Sérénité was born from that experience. We rebranded to Maréfleur by Essence & Sérénité® to reflect the state of blossoming that comes from that.
At Maréfleur®, we are passionate about providing 100% pure natural high-quality aromatherapy products that support your scented lifestyle, wellness, and personal development needs. Our diverse range of products includes essential oil singles, carefully crafted essential oil blends, natural oil diffusers, and soothing candles. We are excited to announce that this year we will be participating in a few local exhibition events in MA showcasing our handcrafted limited edition, natural aromatherapy creations.
